CP Game of the Year

With more and more gamers here every year, I think it's time we started deciding on a CP game of the year! First, we will gather nominations, then I'll follow that up with a poll. Here's how it will work:

1) Post your top three favorite/best games of the year in order. Your number one game will be get three points, number two gets two, and number three gets one.

2) After a week or so, I'll post the top five point getters as our official nominees in a poll, and we'll vote on deciding what's game of the year!

The only rule is: must be games where the original release was within the calendar year of 2016. So no remastered collections or late ports. I'll lead off with mine:

This was a weird year. There were a lot of games I had pegged as my GoTY only for them to turn out horribly. Still a bunch of games I want to play, some of which I could easily see making these lists.

3. The Banner Saga 2

Blood and Wine makes my list since it contained enough content to practically be considered a game itself. If DLC is not allowed then my list becomes:

1. Doom
2. The Banner Saga 2
3. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Seeing as FIFA17 does soccer better than any other game does anything else, and seeing as it's the only game I play, I think we can can go ahead and just close this thread now.

A lot of people are saying Fifa isn't even the best soccer game this year, let alone best game overall.

Blood and Wine is so substantial I'd call it more of an expansion pack than DLC. We'll allow it!

I've kinda surprised myself with how few games released in 2016 I've played. Lots of 2015 games played though! I also played a few 2016 releases that I didn't like at all, so I guess that doesn't help.

1) WoW: Legion
2) There isn't a 2 or 3 because they're both remasters (Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition and Another Metroid 2 Remake)! The rest I played aren't worth being on this list.

As a huge fan of both Titanfall and Battlefield as franchises it's tough to choose a number one between them. Battlefield 1 takes it by a smidge because I was so happy to see a World War-based Battlefield again. I also still slightly prefer the maps in Titanfall 1 to Titanfall 2, though 2 is the better game overall.

Honourable mention would perhaps go to Overwatch as it wasn't even on my radar before it released but I ended up sinking many hours of great fun in to it.

I only played 2 2016 games and still haven't finished Witcher III from over a year ago!

Thought of putting Rise of the Tomb Raider on since it came out on PS4 in 2016 but it was released for Xbox in 2015 so doesn't count.
