After a couple days' holiday rest, the Flames start another round of on-ice festivities as they visit the Avs in Denver tonight.

Taking a stroll to burn off the holiday goodies, Our Hero and his four-legged pal look forward to tonight's game. It doesn't take a whiz to figure out what's coming:

Spoiler!

Go Flames

This is a completely winnable game from the Flames perspective. Get a little NHL standard goaltending and play hard in the fore check like we know they can, and this should be a good solid win. say 4-2 (EN to seal the deal)

I'd like to see another Avs blowout. Monahan first career hatty.

TIL that Monahan has never got a hat trick. That seems strange for him

5 of the next 6 games are against the 28th - 30th placed teams. Safe to say they are all winnable games.

And the other game is Anaheim (at Calgary thankfully) so if we can beat them we'll be able to jump into the 3rd Pacific spot by the New Year.

Iginla never got one until his 6th season, the year he had 50 goals. Just one of those odd things I think.

Same lineups as last game? Hope Wotherspoon and Mr. 13-3 are in again.

Most likely on the ice by us and off the bus by the Avs.

Gotta bag 2 points against the easy opponents, I see a 6-0 win coming.

Going to the only Flames game in Colorado this season with my daughter and sitting in the lower bowl...can't wait. My son wants to got too, but he's still a bit too young for the late night and the loud noises.

Was at the Leafs game on Thursday in the same seats for the 6-0 blowout. Hoping the Flames bring their A game tonight and give us something to cheer for.

GFG!

Could be a trap game with the Avs coming off a win over Chicago looking to build off that win. But they are awful so I would expect an easy win for the Flames.

This has the feel of the Valentine's Day massacre game from almost 6 years ago... Man how times have changed.

Gaudreau x 2
Monahan x 3
Hathaway x 1
Brodie x 1
Stajan x 1
Tkachuk x 2

10 - 1
