Default Flames lose 5-3 in Philly

Not much to like, but good last 5 minutes.

Pretty questionable officiating tonight.

Tkachuk great again!

Not a good game. Refs were absoutely atrocious tonight too. Get a grip, stripes.
I'd have Jankowski and Jokipakka in next.
Need to have a better game tomorrow.

Flyers wound up with 6 PPs? Flames only get 1 in a ridiculously called game.

However... we scored 2 shorties and 1 PPG, while only giving up 1 PPG. Maybe we should have taken more.

It's both impressive and disappointing that a 19 year old is having such a large impact on the character of this team.

Move on. Shorties were a bright spot. Tkachuk will drive teams nuts for years, so fun to watch.

Swap in Janko for Hamilton no doubt.

Flames showed nothing tonight. Spent the entire game reacting, and dictating nothing.

Props to Tkachuk for being emotionally invested. The rest of the team should be embarrassed.

Future captain qualities in that kid (okay, at least an A). Monahan losing a lot of steam in his bid.

Dennis Wideman needs to be scratched for the rest of the year. Not only is he costing us with his play but I think it has become pretty clear the officials are punishing the team as well.

The invisible first line really worries me. Nothing to show with Brower, Versteeg and Monahan for a few games now. Can we really site #23 for a game or two too see what happen? It cannot get worst imo

Why is it disappointing? I think any positive impact on the team should be looked as a good thing.

Certain players' ineffectiveness should be viewed independently of Tkachuk's accomplishments.

Yep. Tonight was one of those nights where depth wasn't going to save them.

Monahan needs to step the ####ing #### up.

6.35 million, probably couldn't say he's earning half that right now.

Backlund's line is our 1st line right now.

After the events of today if the Flames lose tomorrow there's a good opportunity and excuse for BT to make a change. IMO there's nothing to lose.

there is a lot to lose when you're making a trade when 90% of the team is playing (far) below expectations.

Not may trades are won in such a position of weakness.

The real thing here should be the officiating has been way offside. You can't make so many consecutive non-calls and not be held accountable.

Also, there is the Gaudreau slashing injury. This has cost us games.

I understand the Ref's and their position on Wideman, but I would really want to hold the league accountable at this point. Can the Calgary Flames get a fair shake from the officiating officials or do they continue to demonstrate impartial judgment by continuously penalizing the Flames for something that occurred last season.
