Fisherman's Friend. Or Buckleys (they have liquid Buckleys in the middle. It's like the worst gusher you've ever had, but it works)

Never cherry, god. Extra strength always.

Lemon or Apple Cinnamon Fisherman's Friend for the lesser stuff.

Lemon Strepsils if the throat feels legitimately scratchy.

Halls extra strength mint if nose a little plugged.

Japanese mint oil, rub it under my nose when I'm sick. Soothing and opens up stuffed sinuses.

Halls always seemed like candy and never really relieved any symptoms. I haven't ever really found any lozenge effective for sore throats.

Fisherman's Friend is the best I have found for coughs.

Is the stuff you use more similar to Vick's or Ricqles?

Regular ones are gross. The flavored ones are candy.

Cepacol and Strepsils are pretty similar now. They used to be different lozenges taste and effect wise, but someone decided they wanted to change the formula in Strepsils. These two are way too potent for regular use IMO. The numbing aspect is nice when your throat is easily agitated though.

Has anyone ever tried pure honey pastilles? I don't really prefer them. Honey in hot water is pretty good for soothing a sore throat though.

Fisherman's Friend, 60% of the time, it works every time.

Seriously though, it's my go to. Nothing else comes close to working for me.

Have been dabbling in oils to treat things: https://www.newhealthadvisor.com/ess...for-cough.html
But for minor throat irritations: Black Death Halls (prefer sugar free) or Lemon Fisherman's friends.
Bad cough: go straight for the NyQuil and hope to sleep through it all.

I have found that sucking on jolly rancehrs seem to be just as effective as a lozenge for me.

I'd assume that the JR has more sugar in it though.

Cepacol throat spray is great for a nasty sore throat.

When its not too bad, I reach for a Ricola lozenge.

These puppies. They taste pretty gross so that makes me think they work better.
