Crosby is on a really good contract considering his production and what he brings to the team and franchise. I'd hope Johnny would see this. He will have all American hockey fans watching him. Much like Kane.

Gaudreau owns the "Johnny Hockey" trademark, but if I remember correctly, he only trademarked it so others couldn't profit off his monicker.
Furthermore, how many "Johnny Hockey" shirts do we see out there? I don't live in Calgary, but I doubt there are many.
I know revenue from jersey sales get split between the owners and the PA, but I don't think specific players get an addition cut from their own jersey sales.
Which means, Gaudreau is not set to make significant money through endorsements. The real money for hockey players will - at least for the immediate future - be in contracts.
