This tournament made me realize that I have almost no connection to Team Canada. I have fond memories of excitement in the 2002 and 2010 gold medal victories... but I think that was because Iggy dominated the 2002 gold medal game with 2 goals and an assist with Sakic. Then Iggy's work along the boards and pass to Crosby won the 2010 game in OT. Without Iggy, or another Flame, I do not seem to care. I did care about the Team North America games - because of Johnny.
I was following the Flames preseason game against Winnipeg instead of game 1 in the finals of this tournament. So, I guess for me it's Flames first, Team Canada only if the Flames are not in any way shape or form playing. Am I a bad citizen?

Man, Perry really dogged it on that Sekera breakaway in game 1. They just showed it again as an example of the tape they are watching to prepare for this.
I love that guy on Team Canada, but hate him every other minute, so it feels good to take a break and point out a flaw on his play. He also has a rat face.

I imagine most of these guys would rather do this tournament to warm up for the season than go through the first week of training camp with a bunch of scrubs and doing fitness testing.
