Okay, my house has 6 very big trees, and recently there have been these 4 squirrels that have came to live in them. Anyways today i was sitting on my step and i heard two of the squirrels chasing each other around the base of the tree, after about 10 seconds they run up higher and out of site. After about 40-50ft in the tree u faintly see something fall and a second later a thump hits the laddar of ours thats laying beside our garage and sure enough it was the squirrel after loosing its grip. This was one of the funniest things with an animal i have seen, especially because the squirrel got up and climbed away unharmed. Anybody else have any funny animal stories? I know this is a pretty dumb post but im bored, and it probably sounds pretty lame cause i cant describe exactly what happend or how funny it actually was. Might be one of those things where you had to be there.

I was driving in Bragg Creek a couple weeks ago and I saw a cat run into the road and get hit by the right wheel of the car in front of me... I was close enough to see the car completely run over the cat, but the sucker kept running leaving a puff of cat hair in the air behind him... I couldn't believe my eyes!! I could've sworn it was going to end up a Pancake! 9 fricken Lives or what!

A couple years ago, I came out of church and was waiting in the parking lot, when a seagull flew by and hit a building then turned around and hit a fence, and finally flew away. A week after that i was in class and a bird flew into the classroom.

SuperN; Cats have a tendency to get run over, then scamper/drag themselves off the road before they croak, unless of course the offending tires get a good grip going over. I know this because a month ago I scraped up a cat from right inside my condo gate that must of gotten hit from the opposite side of the gate in the main road since the gate opens in. The gate while opening was tapping the top side of the dead cat. Did I mention it was raining and I was wearing heels while the cat's owner sobbed on the sidewalk while I was scrapping the cat up and stuffing the stiff, wet body in a too-small shoe box. Very nice morning; I was rather dazed when I got to work late and soaked through.

Another weird squirrel story: Last year I was standing under a tree chatting with a buddy. Suddenly there's a manic russling noise from above and a backpack-sized clump of cr*p falls from the tree. We all looked up in time to watch 2 squirrels jump from their falling nest about 5 feet off the ground. Nest hits the ground and explodes, squirrels hit the ground running, and scamper up the tree. We were stunned. Now there's something you don't see every day.

I've got a funny squirrel story. There was a fairly big ice storm a few years ago (that shut things down for a while) but there were lots of tree branches and stuff on the ground, roads, etc... So they brought in a whole bunch of wood chippers at the University to try and clean up the problem. My friend was walking down the street and ended up seeing a squirell just jump into one of those huge wood chippers. That has got to be a pretty strange thing to see. I still have a bit of trouble believing that story but man... I could see it happen though. Especially with the amount of squirrels that were around during that time.
