Charity golf tournament
Was just listening to fan 960 and they had a short segment on the flames annual golf tournament which was just held.
Apparently raised 400k for various charities this year. I felt compelled to post as i heard a tidbit that was a real feel good story.
One of the charities the flames support is camp kindle. They had a family speak about the difference the camp made for them as they were going through some tough times (young kid had cancer). Apparently caused a few teary eyes in the room.
Following this, there was a live auction, and a trip to the turks and caicos was one of the items up for grabs. Dennis Wideman bid for, and won the trip package. He then donated the trip to the camp kindle family who were shocked and thrilled.
Anyway, just thought i would pass along. Wideman been catching a lot of sheet on here lately. Nice thing for him to do.
