Hudler signs with Dallas
He is probably a good fit for scoring depth on the highest scoring team in the NHL.

Awesome! It's not Vancouver! I don't have to hate my former favorite Flame.

Good value signing for Dallas. Hudler's got gas left in the tank. He was a part of some of the prettiest goals the Flames scored post 2012 lockout, even before Gaudreau and Monahan arrived.
All the best, Jiri!

A cup contender gets even stronger... great depth signing for them... and this just makes sooooo much more sense for Jiri than signing in Vancouver!!

That's a fantastic signing. Jiri will thrive in Dallas.

It'll be interesting to see which Jiri decides to show up because this is not a signing absent of risk, but definitely could be good reward for the dollars.

IIRC, wasn't Hudler hurt for a good portion of last season? If I recall, he was nursing an injury. That could have hindered his production.
Dallas is a very good team that's very offensively-oriented. I think Hudler could eclipse 50-55 points again.

Celebrated Square Root Day

I figured he'd sign between $1 and $2mil. I couldn't believe there were some putting him in the Glencross category, wondering if he'd get a PTO or no contract at all, others thinking league minimum just because he hadn't signed yet.
Never assume that no contract deep into summer automatically means no interest/league minimum player.

So he plays with Seguin and Benn or Spezza? Good call... Agreed that he should light it up with Dallas
