Default Odd License Plate Spotting

Yesterday I spotted a red Audi (I believe) with the license plate YYCPUCK. Not sure which one of you it is, but either way well done!

Back in the dinosaur era when front plates were still required, there was a car in Calgary with a plate "3M TA3". If it's following you and you look in your rear view mirror it says "EAT ME".

A Beastie Boys fan from way back, perhaps.

YYCPUCK is Bingo... I am guessing you only caught a brief glimpse as he was weaving in and out of traffic

Last winter I saw a car buried in a snowdrift at a 3 way stop near my house.

The license plate said BRN2SPD.

Passed by a Hummer on Deerfoot today with the plate mounted upside down. Wasn't loose or falling off, mounted that way on purpose. What is this guy trying to do and could you get a ticket for that?

Worst I've done is pile snow on my bumper to block some of the plate, got me out of one photo speeding ticket for sure.

Yes, you can get a ticket for intentionally obscuring your license plate.

What is it with people trying to have a witty license plate and instead it ends up being confusing because either:
a) poor abbreviation of idea or
b) in order to get the message you have to deliberately mispronounce numbers or characters to form words aloud.

I'm looking at you, car with Hawaiian plates #NGOT8R.

Not an odd licence plate, but definitely an odd car I spotted recently.

Funny you should say that! I've seen this car at Glenmore pool a couple of times this month. Never seen it before...

Apparently Jesus is feeling the recession too if he's broadcasting his message on an echo.

When WestJet first started up they managed to reserve all the YYC xxx plates for their employees and I believe the number corresponds to the employee number. So when you see a YYC xxx plate chances are that person either did or still does work for Westjet.
