I would like to hate that guy, but it is physically impossible.
PK is simply one of the most socially responsible athletes in this, or any league. Nashville is lucky to have him

I know exactly what you mean.

I instinctively dislike PK, thats just me, I dont really like people that are at 1000% intensity all the time, I find it draining.

But he seems like hed be a blast. Just impossible to dislike.

And then he goes and does things like this, some would say for the publicity or the tax benefits or whatever, and thats cynical but practical.

But look at his face. That is joy.

That's absolutely awesome.

There is no reason whatsoever to not love that guy.
He loves the game, loves kids, and loves to give.

Kudos to you, PK.

I had a "think there's something in my eye" moment when the kids were reading out their letters.

The world would be a better place with more PK Subbans in it.

Pk looks like a complete boss in that suit and top hat.

Good on home for continuing to give back

While I do think a part of PK loves the spotlight, I don't think that's why he does this. I think he genuinely enjoys it.

PK the player can be a bit over the top, but he's a great person in his community and IMO is a great role model for young black kids.

Everything is always all about him but at least others benefit in the process.

PK Subban is a terrific human.

Yeah, it is about him. You're right.

There's no better person for it to be about.

The last person this is about is PK Subban.Sure he gets a bit of attention, but the kids get a much bigger thrill and get to be celebrities for a small part of their lives, also this sort of thing brings more exposure to those that need help more than anyone else- sick children.Hopefully this inspires and motivates more pro athletes to be involved in local causes,it is far more about helping others,I doubt any personal benefit even enters PK's mind.

Knew these comments were going to inevitably show up. Some people just like their monotone robotic and cliched hockey players with no personality I guess.

Lets be honest. If you were a kid hanging out with a celebrity, I'm pretty sure you'd prefer to hang out with an energetic and outgoing person like PK. The guy just oozes charisma, and it's great for the kids. He keeps them engaged, and brightens up their day with his positive attitude.

I just don't get why some people still have to make a rag on the guy when he's just trying to do so much good for kids.

Love PK, and I hope he continues to do what he does.

Merry Christmas lads.

Just here to reiterate how great PK and the hockey community in general are.

The flames are also a credit to the game and their work in the local community makes me immensely proud of our guys. As someone not from this country or city you guys should be grateful for one of the classiest sports and teams I've come across.
