Colborne considering offers outside of the Flames
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Joe Colborne considering contract offers outside of the Flames.
Doesn't sound like he will be back

I'll predict he signs with the Flames or the Avs.

I really haven't thought he'd be back right from the moment we heard BT wasn't qualifying him.
Flames clearly want to spend their money on other attributes.

Kind of wish Treliving could have cashed in on Colborne at the deadline, but I know you can't do that with every player.

See what the other offers are, then come back and see if Brad will match.

He's not a difference maker, but he's going to be paid like one. I'm glad it's not going to be with the Flames.

If he signs here for around $2-2.5 x 3, he will fit here.
That's not going to happen though.

I for one am going to miss Colborne. Solid player. Never really got the hate for him around here.

That sweet extra 5th round pick.

It's not like Colborne would ignore offers from other teams. I'm not surprised to hear that he's considering the pitches from other teams.
This is all part of the process.

Now he can kill plays for other teams. Not a huge loss.

I would take him back short term for less than $3. Gotta think he could do better than that elsewhere if he wants to though.

He had 21 of his 44 points after the trade deadline.

Dont need Colborne, not a big loss. Some of the kids are ready to develop. Good luck Joe!

I'd rather lose out on Colborne than the losses garnered with someone like Hamhuis and Vancouver.
