Hall of Fame Class to be announced Monday (Predictions)
People under consideration are : Lindros, Recchi, Andreychuk, Mogilny, Fleury, Roenick, Osgood, Makarov, Kariya, Joseph, Vernon.
New names this year that are eligible: Kiprusoff, Hamrlik, Hejduk, Prospal.
My picks are:
Lindros
Recchi
Mogilny
Andreychuk
Quinn in the builders category.
That last spot could easily be one of the other forwards listed.

I expect Andreychuk will make it, but I'd also be OK if he never did. His career totals are impressive, but they're also largely a function of playing forever. His biggest claim to fame is that he played a long time.
it'll be interesting to see if any of the goalies make it in.

Jesus, 82/83 to 05/06, that alone is impressive.

I would like to think that being ably to skate backwards should be a requirement for someone to qualify in the player category

Suter, Recchi, Andreychuk.
I think career longevity is a very important factor, especially with large point totals.

I'd like Fleury, Vernon and Lindros but a lot of people hate Lindros and for the other two, who cares they played mostly out west in a small media market.

Lame..
Don't think he deserves it.
Sure he dominated as a big boy for a few years, but his legacy will always be that he refused to report to the team that drafted him.
There are players on that list that did more for much longer.
Take Fleury, he was in a class of his own when it came to the "small" guys of the NHL.
Won a cup and an Olympic Gold Medal.
Sure Lindros' had a great '95 season. Hart winner and Lester B Pearson winner, but that really it.
Sure he was on pace to set some records.. but didn't..
He is the perfect case of Woulda, Shoulda Coulda. But didn't..
