No surprise. I do think he will get a one year, low money contract this summer.

Am I crazy or did he not want to play for Calgary at one point? Either when he was playing or after he left?

Wanted years ago when we had him briefly. That time is past.

Yeah. I think Higgins is washed up at this point. I could see Higgins possibly getting a PTO but kinda like Glencross & others, not surviving that PTO and having to look overseas if he wants to continue his hockey playing days.

It's not even that anymore. I'd say he is done as an NHL calibre player.

His best years are way behind him he might get a look with the new Vegas team.

That's a year out, he probably won't be playing hockey anymore.

he lost a step, it was really obvious last year, wonder if it had to do with rushing back from injury

but that lost speed turned him from a really solid 3rd liner and a great asset to the pk to a liability

guessing he gets a try out with a contender to see if the time to heal has brought any of that back, maybe a 1 year deal as a 4th liner

I can't see a team offering him anything more than a PTO at this point.

Probably right. He could be a good depth guy for someone on a sub 1m deal though.
