Not disappointed. Couldn't listen to Shad anymore. Admittedly I know nothing of Tom Powers but I'm ready for a change.

It's just Power. Tom Power. I'll miss him too, he's the most positive sounding guy. Who is replacing him? Talia Schlenger?

As much as I enjoy Tom Power, I'd love it if Q was left in the hands of Candy Palmater. She's incredible!

On the Shad front; if you haven't watched HBO's Evolution of Hiphop, it was quite a good mini series.

I agree! I've really enjoyed her time on Q and loved her show that she had in the summertime as well. She seems to have an ease with interviewing and is great at listening and not interrupting the guests. I hope that we'll hear her again soon on CBC.

I didn't listen to the Q a lot post-Jian, but the few times I did, Shad was just too nice and likable. I know that is a weird thing to fault someone for, but part of the Q appeal with Jian was that he could steer conversations and push buttons to get good discussions going.

I don't know anything about Powers, but I think to make this show interesting, the host needs to carry swagger.
