But unlike Thornton, Brown was an integral part of two Cup wins.
Wouldn't be surprised see Brown get "injured" and spends the rest of his contract on LTIR.

He'll get traded to the oilers and be the captain there, that way Gio can destroy him more often.

It will be really interesting to see if one of the 29 other teams will be desperate enough to trade for him. I would love it if the Kings were forced to suck it up as they got lucky with Richards but I don't think lightning will strike twice for them.

Wow I knew he was falling out of favour with the Kings, but still a bit surprising. Does he have a nmc? I've always been a fan of his, but his play has dropped pretty drastically the last two years. It'll be interesting if they can get rid of him and his contract by the beginning of the season.
So doughty or kopitar for captain? I think doughty is probably ready to lead that team.

He has a modified NTC where he can list 7 teams he cannot be traded to but the contract in it self is like a full NTC. No NMC.
Assuming he stays legal, how will the Kings force him out? Bury him in the AHL?
