Wind is blowing from the east so it could be from the brewery. Or it might be the Calgary smell that sometimes happens, usually after a thaw.

Walked to Chinatown for food (from west of the eau claire market) and discovered the epicenter. I think they are doing sewage work outside of Cafe Blanca.

My brother and I were walking back home from the East Hills Costco in the SE and you could smell it there as well.

I had a DQ flamethrower burger with onion rings for lunch ... it didn't really agree with me and my job takes me from inglewood to west village and from Eau Claire to Mission.
Apologies to all.

Deerfoot and McKnight was pretty rotten. It smelled like burnt hair on cow turds. I thought there was a pile up of 50 cattle liners.

My wife has the privilege of erasing my skid marks.
And she is very aware of the risk. She is a brave and amazing gal.

I'm seeing lot of drilling/sewer maintenance trucks set up around downtown over the past week. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
BUT, the geographic distribution in this thread sounds like it's huge. It sounds more like some kind of gas or fertilizer or sulfur leak.
It's snowing today so the smell might get blanketed down.

I smelled it last night as well near Deerfoot Meadows and assumed it was the wind blowing just right from Bonnybrook. The sewage smell would have matched up, but the range of accounts on here makes me wonder if it was something else in the end.

Back home the farmers always manure the fields around this time. Does it carry into town???
I was up at Enform for training yesterday not downtown so didn't smell anything.

Driving north on 14th St. yesterday afternoon, noticed the basement window at "Chicken on the Way" was ajar.
Mystery solved.
