Hate both teams, so don't really care who wins as long as one loses here, and the other in the cup final. Go West!

The two teams have played each other once in the postseason. It was in the first round of the 2011 playoffs and the Lighting won the series 4-3. The Lightning were down 3-1 in the series and won the next three games by scores of 8-2, 4-2, and 1-0 in regulation time.

I am calling the Lightning in 7. Don't know why but they were my dark horse pick for the cup this year.

At no point has Tampa impressed me this year, they've just had relatively easy opponents. Penguins in 6.

The Bolts had luck on their side against the Islanders as they won twice in OT.

Crazy that Tampa could potentially play long enough for Stamkos to return. You'd have to think that if they get past the Pens, that Stamkos would be back for the SCF?

There was talk he could be back this round. Not sure about Stralman.

I figured the East didnt have any teams that could compete against some of the big Western powerhouses but then you see the Eastern semis wrapped up after a handful of games while the two Western semis are headed to Game 7s.
The East is just so weak but they're going to benefit from that weakness by being rested for the final.
I really have little interest in this one, we'll see how it goes, but its two creampuffs slapfighting.
