No offence, DFF, but there's no way in hell I'm going to slog through a list comprised of 30 slides on separate pages.

I don't trust a site that makes you click through a 30 item slideshow to garner more page views.

Yup, sorry, I refuse to give sites like that more than one view. Put the list on one damn page

Nice to see a list that doesn't feel the need to coddle Winnipeg fans and reassure them about how great and special they are.

The list came up on one page for me? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe try this link to skip the slideshow silliness?: http://www.thesportster.com/hockey/p...alty/?view=all

Not that I think the list is that off base at all, it probably comes close to hitting the mark, but I just hate how all these, "viability of market" discussions or loyal fan base discussions seem to only focus on attendance.
Attendance is huge, but what you draw for attendance, without factoring in ticket prices is irrelevant. What's more impressive, selling out your building as a contender when half the building is being sold at $10 a seat, or getting 14K fans out paying an average ticket price of $75 a seat for a lottery team?

This was a pain in the ass to put together. I, too, despise having to click through a page at a time, but here you go.

Edmonton should be number one. It's amazing they can still sell out after a decade of that hot garbage team.

Not sure why Montreal would get ranked above Toronto.
Both are the two largest fanbases and are similarly loyal - biggest difference though is that the Leafs are consistently bad, whereas the Habs are usually somewhat successful.

Edmonton would have been #1 if the rankings were determined by lottery.

Edmonton's fans should definitely be #1. They are basically a cult at this point.

Good grief, what is wrong with people? I don't care if you read ot or not. I put it here. If you want to read it great, if you don't great. It's not scientific its opinion so how much stock you want to put in it is irrelevant!

Seriously, #### that site.
I also think the Oilers should be number 1. They're suckers, but they're loyal suckers.

I got to this part, in the Canucks' section:
Quote:
Despite being by far the worst-managed team in the NHL over the last 10 years...
|
Seriously, WTF? How are the Canucks "by far" the worst in a league with Edmonton and how they've been managed?

That was my thought exactly. Yes, Toronto and Montreal have history, but nobody has endured this level and length of garbage play ever in the NHL, yet they still sell out every game.

Despite being by far the worst-managed team in the NHL over the last 10 years, the Canucks still draw great attendance at Rogers Arena. The fans deserve a lot of praise for being loyal to a team that’s let them down in almost every way possible.

bahahaha... vancouver is no good!
