I don't blame him for getting angry. Brooks -- and Cyrgalis -- may say that they were just "doing their jobs", but with the amount of content they were putting out about their dislike of Boyle, I fully understand his being angry, especially after just having been eliminated.
Edit: However, I'm not entirely sure I like how Boyle handled himself. His actions were excessive, and he didn't have to use the language he did.

I like more players and coaches to actually stand up to these 'journalists' who do nothing but write articles that do nothing but attempt to draw a reaction. If everybody just puts up with it, journalism will continue to deteriorate as these clowns continue to keep getting more clicks. I refuse to click on any articles written by an ever-growing handful of these idiots.
Good on Boyle.

As someone who is currently studying to be a journalist, I must agree with you on this. We need to maintain and create a higher standard of journalism, not eviscerate it completely. We need to aspire to be like the New York Times' and the Boston Globe's writers, not the National Enquirer's.

Reason: Edited for clarification, sorry for misinterpreting.

Exactly where are you disagreeing? Seems like you are just adding onto my post more than disagreeing. Am I missing something? If you mean that Brooks should be respected due to which paper he writes for, then I guess we do disagree completely.
More and more journalists are becoming 'national enquirer' garbage writers just adding their own spin to stories in an effort to make them more 'sensationalist' and more geared towards click-bait on social media platforms (which is driving journalism it seems).
Yes, everyone should aspire to be more like Duhatschek, but unfortunately the Dough boy, Francis, etc., of the world are becoming the norm. George Johnson gets canned - a real honest journalist with integrity - and these social-media buffoons are retained.

Wait, sorry, I think I misunderstood your post. Never mind.

Dude, I just misinterpreted his post. I mixed up a couple words and took a phrase out of context.
I fully agree with him - if we keep visiting these clickbait websites, they will continue to exist, and we should invest more into higher-quality journalism.
Everybody makes mistakes, pal. You don't have to harp on me for every one I make. Just let it slide.

The bolded part is why I made the joke about you having a future in journalism.
Everybody makes mistakes. You just tend to make a lot more than the next guy. If you're going to be a real journalist, you can't afford to make mistakes like that. Just saying.
He's a metalhead, and also good friends with Faith No More (he worked as a roadie for them during the summer:
Mike Patton actually signed his last contract as a witness.
Dan Boyle wanted it all but he just couldn't have it. When he got the first contract offer all he could say was "what is this"? In the end th contract was pretty epic.
