Marks. I've had marginal success at Old Navy, as well.

The Bay. Get the 501. Best-looking pair of jeans ever, and you are looking at around $40-$60.

I think a good option that balances quality/style with a fairly decent cost is Jack & Jones. Plenty of different fits and styles to match your preference and about $100/pair- although there are always sales on the older ones for less.

Cost aside, favorite jeans have always been Nudie, but those will be closer to $200.

Yeah, it is true. A good pair of raw denim will now you run you in excess of $250 with the exchange rate.

Levi's 501. If you can find the shrink-to-fit raws, get them. They are around $100.

I would add to this in combo with my comment and say if you can't get a Levi's fit that does it for you, don't get jeans.

Simple, traditional, solid, cost effective, attractive. If a guy is going to look good in jeans he's going to look good in Levi's.

Avoid weird fades and complicated designs on the bum. You'll look bad. Everyone always looks bad.

Lammles', can't go wrong with wrangler jeans, and Panhandle slim has some decent/more modern looks

If you are fit, the Wrangler is a great jean - not really city-wear but does have a distinct wash and cut, which I like.

If you really have your heart set on a designer pair - go here:

http://shopnorthamerican.com/collections/left-field

I bought a pair of the Greasers back when the CAD was worth actual money, and they were around $200. Now, it looks like they are an obscene $270, but a great jean.

Jeans jeans jeans, in Montreal :-) Pretty much the best shopping experience ever. They'll take a look at you, all the sudden jeans are flying at you from all corners. The next guy will take a measurement for hemming, which is free. Hemming is the best and most important part.

Do you want work jeans, or designer jeans, or affordable jeans?

501s are too dad-cut unless you get them tapered or get 501CTs. Try 511s or 513s instead. Levi's are about as safe as it gets.

If you want more designer-y, check out Gravity Pope. They have a sale right now. Picked up some LVC there yesterday. Expect to pay ~$100+, even with sale. Try AMI, Acne, APC, Wings and Horns, Naked and Famous, etc. Look for minimal-to-no wash and minimal-to-no pocket stitching (Levi's good, Nudies less good).

I wear jeans constantly and am cheap, so I feel like I can contribute
I like Levi's, but it always seems hard to find my size.

Old navy and the gap can have cheap sales, but the sizes are wildly inconsistent when I get them it seems.

Check out Lands end online too. Easy returns and frequent sales. They aren't bargain basement cheap but really good quality (I think) for what you pay.

Yeah $88 actually. Regular $250 I think. 1966 501 Customized Rinsed. Basically raw, tapered 501s. Went in looking for something else, but ended up getting these because they didn't have what I was looking for at the Vancouver location.

They're nice. Those Left-fields look good too.
