Default The day KHL in Sweden died

Since the season is off for us, perhaps this is something that could be discussed.:

Today, a couple of investors held a press conference in Sweden, but they were so unprepered, unfocused and werenīt ready for the journalists questions that it became laughable and, like watching a car accident, you couldnīt take your eyes off it, even though you could feel the pain...

http://www.habseyesontheprize.com/2016/4/22/11486222/is-a-swedish-khl-team-realistic-confusion-reigns-after-todays-press-conference-team-crowns

The problem for this team, I believe, is that, in Sweden, the teams you root for just isnīt going away. If they would be playing in Stockholm, you have a lot of teams to compete about the supporters, and most swedes would probably rather see two teams against each other in the SHL, and then perhaps catch a game or two in the KHL, that the fanbase just isnīt there.

The presser was astoundingly bad. It's just unbelievable that they even held one whilst being so unprepared and without any real information to share. The best part is that they apparently have not secured proper funding yet and are hoping to court sponsors. I mean this is not exactly going to help in that regard. What a sideshow. It was Oiler level embarrassing.

I might be excited to see a Swedish team in the K at some point, but not with these clowns anywhere near the project.

Does anyone have a link to the presser?

Thanks for the link — it’s not available in Canada, and incidentally, I don’t happen to speak Swedish.

But, thanks for posting the article.

No, Pyongyang. I can see the story in the Pyongyang Times: "...our Supreme leader Kim Yong-Un led our KHL team 'The DPRK Kims' to victory by scoring 9 goals in the game, 3 per period for 3 natural hat tricks. A feat only bested by his father our Dear Leader Kim Yong-Il who, in a match against the greatest hockey players of The West, scored 10 goals in two periods and then switched to goal for the third period where he posted a shutout stopping 35 shots."
