Default Stockton Heat PBP Guy: Loud and Obnoxious

Jankowski is off to a pretty good start as a professional. Just under a PPG with 1G and 3A in 5 games. Adjustment hasn't been seamless, but he's really impressed so far.

Is he eligible for development camp in July? Looking forward to see how he looks against all of our other prospects.

I think Janko has been pretty good as well, especially in the recent games.

Huska has called him "excellent" thus far, as seen in this video at about 1:12:

I also like the PBP. Over-the-top announcers are good for non-traditional markets IMO.

What audience is he calling games for? By that I mean are the games televised, on the radio, available online? All of the above?

I am super pumped to see if he can make the team next year.

Would they start him as 4c and then see if he makes Backlund expendable?

Backlund is a solid asset. Tough to steal his 3c role, but if so Backlund would have great value.

Jankowski making Backlund expendable is a conversation topic that keeps on coming up that makes me chuckle.

How about he make Shore or Stajan expendable first before we go run our best defensive centre out of town

He is eligible, but since he has already attended 3 previous development camps, the CBA allows him to decline attending.

I think he will go though. He spent last summer in Calgary working out under the guidance of Flames staff.

You're doing it wrong. If you want to actually talk about the Stockton PBP guy you have to use the Jankowski thread! This thread is just for the discussion of Mark Jankowski and his performance since turning pro.

Wasn't the title of each thread obvious of their intent?

Every time Janko highlights are shown the conversation always turns into what drug the PBP guy is on haha.

It might be easier just to combine the two. Comment as if you are the Stockton PBP guy:

Jankowski has developed a solid defensive game and has above average hockey sense that will ease the transition into the AHL and the NHL. What is still in question is whether his offence will translate at higher levels although OMG MARK JANKOWSKI HAS BEEN UNBELIEVEABLE FOR THE STOCKTON HEAT WITH FOUR POINTS IN HIS FIRST FIVE GAMES AND HE IS SINGLEHANDEDLY CARRYING THE HEAT INTO THE PLAYOFFS WITH HIS SPECTACTULAR PLAY!!!!!! WATCH OUT PATTY KANE THE BIG JANKOWSKI IS COMING AFTER YOUR SCORING TITLE NEXT YEAR but more likely he'll start in the AHL next year and depending on how he progresses and how the Flames are doing I can see him being a late season call-up.

They're so much like the Flames and Stars' jerseys of yore!

On a side note I have Dallas easily pummelling Minnesota in the first round. Say, Dallas plays in the American Airlines Arena! I love American Airlines, because United breaks guitars. Don't fly United, everyone!

Speaking of United, what do you think of the United States' chances in the World Cup?

The color scheme looks great, the crest still has Corel Draw written all over it. The city seal has a elk on it, can we make some bad ass elk with antlers on fire logo for the crest?

Oh sorry.. **Ken King please READ**

Back on topic...

I am thinking this is going to be a big year for Klimchuk. I really like him as a player, and though he has been mostly used on the defensive side of things, he is a guy that needs to be putting the puck in the net (and remember, he has a crazy good shot). Kid is an all-around 'really good at everything', but has had injury issues.

Hope he stays healthy and gets put into a situation next year in Stockton where he get some confidence on the offensive side of things.

I disagree, I think Kanzig has no NHL upside and will play in the ECHL next year
