I both love and hate that you do this....part of me wants to say thank you and part of me wants to get upset and tell you to do a better job.

Based on the history of these things, I'm pretty confident we are going to see Edmonton or Toronto get the first pick, and we will end up with the 7th pick. Anything better than that will be gravy in my eyes.

I'm starting to see 6th as a really good outcome, or at least one that I can live with.

8th is very unlikely, and 7th is brutal for not having as many options.

So I think I can live with 6th and be really happy with no Edmonton or Vancouver in the top three

Calgary getting any of the top three would be amazing, but unexpected.

The only way it could be worse is if Vancouver won #2.

The Flames aren’t exactly soft, but they could use more size and gumption
The Flames are soft. You basically acknowledge this by not taking the BPA... Nylander

The Flames best 3 player Brodie, Gaudreau and Monahan will be Lady Byng contenders.

IMO the whole of CP is acknowledging that the Flames are soft in picking Dubois as the next best player after the top 3....

A Sabres lottery win in any capacity is an automatic 8. Sucks to see the Oilers win, though.

I imagine I'll be the only person voting positively, lol.

Edmonton getting #1 wouldn't bother me at all.

This past Mcdavid love fest season was made so much betwe because the Oilers showed next to zero signs of improvement and it's beyond comical now.

Add in Matthews and a new rink, the Oilers hype machine will be as high as ever and they'll finish bottom five of the league again and it would be amazing.

Oilers getting Matthews wouldn't bother me at all.

I wonder if the Flames may look at moving down if they end up with the 7th pick and the interest in say Nylander is higher than their own.

Names like Jost could be a great pick if they move to say 10th and pick up another solid asset in the process.

Not sure I'd be as supportive of that at 6th though.

I dunno in that scenario we draft 5th which is better than 6/7th. Big silver lining to that result
