Ive been kind of watching the Pittsburgh-Islanders game. 5-0 now. Islanders looked off from the start. Theyre missing Hamonic and Halak now. Don't think they'll make any noise in the playoffs (if they make it.)

Unless they figure something out, they will be first round fodder yet again. They haven't looked good for quite some time.

So, is it too much to ask for Columbus to win a GD hockey game?

Buffalo and Arizona winning would be OK too, put them both 7 points up on CGY pending the outcome of the Flames game.

A TO win would be dandy too.

Ya Tavares is having a fairly mediocre season. After being a point from leading the NHL in scoring last year to being 20th in league scoring is a big step back for Tavares in my opinion.

Another questionable no goal goaltender interference review in LA.

I think the Islanders deserve some credit for being a playoff team in spite of an off-year by Tavares. He's still good, but it doesn't look like the Islanders are relying on him as much this year.

Can't tell if that accent was French or Italian... funny though.

The Sharks-Predators is the best game since both teams are in the playoffs. It is still possible that it could be a first round match up.

Final scores of the matinee games

2 at 3
The highlights are fun to watch as there were 71 shots in total, 36-35 in favour of the Flyers. It is a big win for the Flyers as they stay in a playoff spot ahead of the Red Wings and Bruins in points and closing in on the Islanders and Rangers.

The Penguins look to lock up second place in the Metropolitan Division for home ice advantage in the first round. This could also be a first round series.

The Stars are hot as they are 7-2-1 in their past ten games. The Kings could fall to third place in the Pacific Division with their inconsistent play of late.

Wow.
Watching the Canadiens Panthers game. Where are the fans? This is a playoff team, and the place is empty. Sad

Yikes, Kadri just cross-checked a Red Wing in the head. What an idiot.

The Rangers are losing 3-1 to the Sabres in the second period. Ryan O'Reiley with two goals in under two minutes midway through the first period. Girgensons with an early goal in the second period to make it 3-0, Hayes scored soon after to get the Rangers on the board.

Combine that with running his mouth and getting flagged constantly for diving. He's quite the player.

Shea Weber scores, 1-0 Predators.

It is now 4-1 Sabres.

The Lightning have a 1-0 lead and they need to win this game.

Grigensen has only 7 goals and sub 20 points. I know he is a two way player and doesn't get a ton of sice-time, but isn't this one of the guys that people say the Flames should have taken over Janko. Seems like there is still much to be written about that draft.

That Dallas win is big for the Flames. Significantly increases their chance of avoiding Chicago in the first round, increasing their chances of making the conference final and turning the pick the Flames acquired into a first rounder.
