Franzen Ecstatic to be a Hurricanes
The Carolina Hurricanes did something last night that the organization hasn't did in a long long time... they became buyers on the deadline in hopes of securing a playoff position. The 'Canes acquired winger Franzen Johan Franzen from the Chicago Blackhawlks for a3rd round selection in the upcoming 2016 CPHL Entry Draft.
The deal doesn't break down as a major one but for the Hurricanes, who are barely holding onto a playoff birth, acquire a winger that will be the organization highest rated right winger. He'll get the opportunity to finish of the regular season playing beside John Tavares in hopes of creating a little chemistry. A position that has been void ever since the departure of Tyler Seguin.
"This could backfire" said 'Canes GM Hanna Sniper "we may be wasting a 3rd round pick, something this organization needs, for a rental that may only play two games. But we owed it to our diehard fans for the great support these years to do every thing in out power to better our chances for the post season.."
The Hurricanes also announced that they well be opening up and selling tickets for the upper bowl. They have also hired a temp to help at the ticket both so our great Hurricanes fans don't have to wait longer then 5 minutes to receive their tickets.
