This is a useless, who cares game as both teams are out of the playoff race. Enough said.

This is the rivalry game and the biggest game of the season for the Flyers in their quest for a playoff spot.

The Capitals do not have anything riding as they have clinched first place overall.

Wow, Emery gets another tryout...with the Flyers now.

I guess Neuvirth is down with injury.

You are correct. From the pregame links I posted,

"Michal Neuvirth (lower body) is expected to miss the rest of the season, Philadelphia turned to a familiar face as fellow goaltender Ray Emery will skate with the club on a tryout basis."

As the commentators said - the Sens have been throwing long bombs all game long. It was inevitable one would blow up in their faces.

Lazar just hacked Byfuglien, who turned around and gave a tiny lovetap back.

They each got slashing penalties, but it looked very disproportionate.

Lazar should have gotten 2 for slashing and 2 for diving.

What a hit! Clean and devastating. Just awesome. Stone just walked right in with his head down. Man you gotta keep your head on a swivel!

Sens communications ‏@Media_Sens 55s55 seconds ago
#Sens forward Mark Stone will not return to tonight's game after sustaining a chest injury in the 2nd period of tonight's game in Winnipeg.

Yup. That was a bone rattling hit. I think Buff turn his rib cage into an accordion.

Amazing hit, nice to see the Sens stand up for their teammate. It was clean and no, Buff shouldn't have to fight, but that's the right response.

Chimera just gave Gostisbehere a butt-end after the whistle.

Super dirty, probably suspension worthy.

Here it is:

It is scoreless in the Capitals-Flyers game after one period. Good action so far as there were 24 shots in the first period, 13-11 in favour of the Flyers and 10-6 so far in the second period.
