Default March 26, 13 games!

Everyone bar 2 in action today.

Jets lose to the Sabres in the tank battle, embarrassing how they've thrown in the towel since losing Ladd. Wonder how much Buff is regretting re-signing with them now?

Pens beating Red Wings 6-2 in the Joe. Hammer blow for the Wings play off hopes, means the Flyers are level on points and will have 2 games in hand going into their match up with the Coyotes later tonight.

Avs hosting the Wild in a shootout for that last Western Conference wild card spot. A Wild win would see the Avs fall 4-5 behind them. But an Avs win would close the gap to 1-2 points. Huge game for these teams.

Finally in the tank battle, Leafs host the Bruins tonight, Oilers are in LA to face the Kings and the Jackets are in Nashville. Got some luck in the last few tank battle OOTs, can't see that happening tonight. Still, fingers crossed.

1-0 Wild, nice give and go between Parise and Granlund, the former scores. He's on a roll at the moment.

Feel a bit for the Avs, having to go into this crucial stretch run without Duchene or MacKinnon. Very few teams that lose their best 2 centres and still win games.

Yeah, I don't think the Avs can overcome that loss.

Really bad team defense on display today, though.

Battle for the Atlantic division has just begun between the Florida clubs. Both the Panthers and Lightning have 91 points in an equal number of games played. With only a handful of games left, this meeting between the two tonight could decide the division. Should be a fun playoff-like game tonight.

It's only five minutes in, but - by Montreal's standards - there are a bunch of empty seats in the lower bowl.

Habs already losing too.

1-1 in the 1st between Florida and Tampa. Trocheck ties the game with his 25th goal of the season which now leads the team. He has 18 points in his last 18 games. Trocheck is slowly turning into a star.

Jagr scores on the PP to make it 2-1 Panthers. An absolute clinic by the Panthers on the power play. Trocheck's lead in goal scoring was short lived as Jagr scored his 25th to tie him again.

Hudler scores late in the 2nd period to put the Panthers up 3-1 heading into the 3rd. It's been a pretty great game with lots of action at both ends, good physical battles, and great goaltending, especially from Luongo. Worth a look if you're looking for a playoff hockey preview.

The Penguins took over in the final two periods.
Kessel and Bonino had five points each!

I think the Wild are taking control of the last playoff spot.
Dubnyk is looking like he did last season at this time.

The Stars look to hold off the Blues in the division and conference.

After Huberdeau scores early in the 3rd, the Panthers coasted most of the 3rd period with a 3 goal lead. Jon Cooper pulled his goalie with 6:30 left in the game and despite several attempts at the empty net that were close, including a post, the Panthers finally score on it with 24 seconds left. That's after 2 full penalties for the Lightning during that final 6:30 where they scored on one of them. Final score, 5-2 Panthers. BIG, big win.

Jussi Jokinen. He actually co-leads the team in points along with Jagr. He's been pretty incredible this year.

Quite the Yakapov-esque celebration by Clutterbuck on that OT goal.

4 straight shutouts after allowing 13 goals in two games on their trip through Alberta. So weird.

Uh... Are the refs in the Oilers game on drugs? How did that Carter goal count?

Will be interesting to hear the explanation on why that goal counted. The only thing I can think of is that they figured Brossoit had time to get back to his feet, which I disagree with. Any way he tries to get back to his feet while LA has the puck like they did puts him in a worse position.

That was a pretty terrible call, imo. He may have had a millisecond to get set again, but that's pretty tough. Seen much less called back this year.
