Default Banksy Identified

So it was pretty widely accepted that it was Robin Gunningham of Bristol before, but this pretty much confirms it.

“Geographic profiling”, a technique used to catch serial criminals, has proved that the elusive artist Banksy really is Robin Gunningham, according to academic research.
Kinda lame. Why can't they just leave it alone. Let him come out if he wants to.

(not a bansky)

Weird because he was a keynote speaker a couple of years back at the Deltek insight conference.

You'd think finding a serial killer or a pedophile would be more useful than outing an artist.

I'm surprised it took this long.

It is more useful...but there aren't that many serial killers in general, or pedophiles doing their thing in public, which provides the data this tech seems to need to use.

This is stupid.
Just leave him be; not knowing is much better.

He paints on other people's walls/property. The owners take down those walls and sell them. Banksy whines.

His art is beautiful and the messages can be insightful, but he's let the fame go to his head and has a false sense of importance.

I enjoyed the mystique of Banksy but in recent years he's become full of himself. Let's see if his talent can move past the infamy and he can continue to do great work without the cover of anonymity.
