Default What has happened with Laddy Smid??

So I understand he's been injured for several games now. To my knowledge I don't recall seeing exactly what was wrong?

I heard an interview on 960 with Treleving and he talked about Smid. Said he's out for the "foreseeable future" and it didn't sound very encouraging. Is this another scenario where he might retire or be place on long term injury reserve?

Just wondering.

As far as I can recall, he got his arm/shoulder pinned awkwardly into the boards in a game and hasn't played since.

With his neck injury history, if it happened to be another one that could be a long recovery time. When he got hurt in December last year it took almost a calendar year for him to return.

Trelving has been quoted as saying Smid will not be back "anytime soon". Even alluded to his injury history and stopped himself short of spilling more beans.

Hope he calls it a career; not to sound like a jerk but could be the best thing for him moving forward post-career
