Default February 21 with five games.

Good morning everyone, rise and shine as it is Hockey Day in America. There is a tripleheader in the USA and a quadruplet header in Canada which includes the Flames game. Badger Bob is telling all of us that it's a great day for hockey!

NBC has the first two games

These teams played in the original Winter Classic.

The Penguins win 4-3 in regulation time. Letang gets three assists and Cullen with a shorthanded goal in the third period proves to be the winning goal. Bogosian had three points in the loss.

Nice tip in by Vanek on the PP, 2-0 Wild. They are enjoying their outdoor game far more than the Bruins did last month.

'Hawks have been sloppy and awful so far...Down 3-0 on a weakside Neiderreiter slam, his 2nd open side opportunity in a 2 minute span.

Seabrook has been a turnover machine.

Pominville scores as I type this...no D-Zone coverage, at all...4-0 Wild

Unfortunate injury to Zucker...Rozival gets tossed...looking at the play, Zucker made a play for the puck, but missed...Rozival had stepped up to check him...Zucker ran into Rozival's shoulder, and bounced off, fell backward, and whiplashed his head onto the ice. Rozival got a 5 and game for interference...I really think that the call was excessive, as it was shoulder to chest, AND Zucker had made a play at the puck.

Hopefully Zucker will be ok...and I expect no further sanction on Rozi, as Zucker, basically ran into an immovable object, and the ice is what caused the injury, when he bounced off.

I must say, though, that immovable is the operating adjective for Rozival...the guy is a pylon. And, really needs to have retired last season. IMO, the 'Hawks D is better off with him out of the game.

Kane just ruined Dubnyk's shutout effort in the Stadium Series.

Haula and Pominville each had three points in the game, 6-1 final. Dubnyk has the Blackhawks number as he has five straight wins against them.

There were two Lightning strikes (Brown and Callahan) as Tampa took a 2-1 lead in the second period. Michal Jordan tied it up at 2-2 later in the period.

It remains scoreless in the Original Six game after two periods.

God, shut up Ron McLean.

In a broadcast that doesn't feature the Oilers—hell, they aren't even playing today—McLean can't help himself from gushing about Connor McDavid; featuring his scoring chance in Montreal from two weeks ago that he shot wide.

Blech.

Boy, Ron MacLean is glad that first game is over so they can concentrate on the real game tonight. Go Avalanche! Go Jarome! Go everyone not in a stupid whale sweater.

What was really funny was that Ron said the Montreal crowd gave Conner a standing ovation. No, Ron, I am pretty sure they were giving THEIR goalie the standing ovation. at least Brendan Morrison was talking about the Avs, and Jarome. Go Avs!

Funny seeing Sedin complain and get a penalty where the other player dives.

Hansen scores to make it 2-0 Canucks. Cracknell scored the first goal.

The Rangers win 1-0 in overtime, Klein scores two minutes into the extra session.

Tampa Bay wins 4-2, Callahan with two goals including the empty net goal.
