Flames vs. Canucks, 7 pm, SNW
Um...Hiller? WTF?
Ok, so I'm a little peeved. I had this beautiful illustration of these two teams all written out and then the CP software froze. When it finally unlocked everything was gone. I simply don't have the energy to write it all up again this morning. Perhaps I will write it out again later, but not at the moment. Sorry everyone.
Roster Notes: No practice for the Flames yesterday, so lineups are a little unknown. Smid is day to day with an upper body injury and no word on Russell's return. However, there's been no news of a recall, so I would imagine Russell will be ready for tonight. The Canucks are missing both Alex Edler and Brandon Sutter long term.
Flames
Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler
Bennett-Backlund-Frolik
Ferland-Stajan-Jones
Colborne-Granlund-Jooris
Giordano-Brodie
Russell???-Hamilton
Engelland-Nakladal
Hiller
Canucks
D. Sedin-H. Sedin-Hansen
Baertschi-Horvat-Vrbata
Burrows-Vey-Etem
Dorsett-Cracknell-Virtanen
Hamhuis-Tanev
Hutton-Sbisa
Bartkowski-Biega
Miller
Go Flames Go!!!!!!

I love the look of joy on the guy's face in the first pic as Ferland tunes a Canuck (Sbisa?).
Also love the last pic where clearly Jonas is fighting to stay off his knees but his body is fighting back.

I'm torn between wanting a loss for a better draft pick (now that playoffs are almost impossible) and my undying hatred for the Canucks and desire to see them lose.

Always pull for a Canucks loss. Always.
The Flames have plenty of other games they can lose. Not this one.

I'm fine with the Flames losing the rest of their games down the stretch as long as they win the ones against the Oilers and Canucks.

I don't care about Matthews or the Finns. We win against the Canucks.

I don't care who wins, I just want to see the Flames physically punish the canucks. I want to see a lot of hitting and fights if possible because I think the Flames can and will just beat these guys up.
Has Bennett been in a fight yet?

I know that the playoffs are long gone and getting a higher draft pick should be priority. But I can't stand losing to 2 teams: Canucks and Oilers.
We can lose every game for the rest of the season, as long as we beat those 2 teams.
Hoping for a 7-5 Flames win, since we appear to need to score 6+ these days to even have a chance of winning.

Are you using Chrome? If so, get the Lazarus extension. Happens to me all the time. I'm typing something and the browser or webpage crashes. Not to fear. Lazarus stores it and brings it back!

I hope Train 79 shows up early and often.
Johnny, Mony & Bennett pad the stats in a good ol fashioned rout.

In hindsight I wish I hadn't purchased tickets to tonight's game. Bought them very early in the season thinking the flames would be battling for a playoff spot and this game might be of significance. I guess its significance is limited to the draft I'd be okay with it if I had cheap tickets in the nosebleeds but I decided to step up and get some really good seats for a change. Bad timing. Guess I'll pray for a Ferland fight near the glass.

Or just enjoy watching the team you love playing the game you love and have gratitude that you're able to do so!
