RIP Ed, you really loved your Flyers and had SC glory in 1974 and 1975.

Very polarizing owner that had a ton of influence in the game. Sad news.

Sad news. I appreciated him as an owner that really loved the game and treated his team as more a passion than just a toy. Shame he couldn't get another cup before he passed but he possibly got a little too desperate and pushed too hard as his GM's made a lot of big moves that didn't pay off that were likely mandated. RIP

Sad news. Was really an advocate for change from the old guard NHL owners. The modern NHL has a lot to do with his influence. Very glad he got to see them grab a playoff spot. RIP and go Flyers.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I used to work for a company that was part of the Flyers/Comcast-Spectacor group of companies. He came by once, never met him but everyone even the presidents and VPs called him Mr. Snider when talking about him. Not sure if it was out of respect or fear, but found it interesting.

I had trouble reconciling his F the small clubs stance in the first Bettman lockout where the owners of the big teams went behind everyone's back to secure a bad deal with the PA.

But there's no doubt that Snider loved the Flyers and the players, and took good care of everyone that wore Orange and Black.

He came around to the realities of the league and was a stanch supporter of getting cost control for everyone.

One of my favorite owners and instrumental in creating the Broad Street Bullies.

RIP Ed

Sad news for sure. As Estrada stated above, the GMs he hired made a tonne of moves trying to get him a cup. In hindsight, it is too bad that it just didn't happen.

Owner and Founder. Without him, there are no Flyers in Philly. Truly passionate about his team and sports. I read on twitter that he never used taxpayer money to build either the Spectrum or Wells Fargo arena. RIP.
