Icon55 Evander Kane misses practice, scratched against Senators

Buffalo Sabres ✔ @BuffaloSabres
Coach Bylsma: Evander Kane missed practice. Broke a team rule. We will be dealing with it internally.

Mike Harrington @BNHarrington
Kane out for Ottawa. Broke team rule and missed practice. Bylsma clearly annoyed. #Sabres

It looks like attitude continues to be a problem for him

He probably did it so he wouldn't have to face the Defensive legend that is the Dion!

I still think the jets did great in the trade to get him off the team.

Additon by subtraction for the Jets on this one.

That 3 fight game sealed it for me, Kane's in it for himself.

Cheveldayoff did something right in trading Kane. He got better players in Myers and Stafford, and got rid of Kane's attitude problems.

Apparently he was at the NBA All-Star game last night.

Probably a long night partying.

The guy should be as dedicated as ROR, he's drive through a building to get to practice!

I doubt Kane is the only one with an attitude on that team.

Completely missed it, after Snapchatting himself boozing it up late into the night. Snapchat has since been deleted

I can't believe a guy that has scored over 20 goals once in seven seasons is getting paid $6 million. Is he not the most overrated player in the NHL? Gaudreau and Monahan are hitting 20 goals annually and are only in their 2nd and 3rd years. It's pretty obvious you don't need to be overly intelligent to be an NHL GM. This isn't a 30-40 goal scorer with an attitude problem, it's a middling 15-20 goal scorer with an attitude problem. This guy is fast tracking his way to being the next Chris Stewart.

Red-hot Evander Kane scored his 16th goal of the season in Sunday's 4-1 win over Colorado, then hopped a private jet to Toronto to attend the NBA All-Star Game in Air Canada Centre.

The party apparently went too hard and too long into the night. Kane posted some videos on his Snapchat page -- which have since been deleted -- of some drinking escapades after the game and was not at Sabres practice today in First Niagara Center.

A grim coach Dan Bylsma announced the 24-year-old called the coach and General Manager Tim Murray this morning after presumably oversleeping. Bylsma said Kane's indiscretion will cost him, as he will not make the trip with the club to Ottawa for Tuesday's game against the Senators.

"He slept in, called Tim and myself, broke a team rule," said a grim-faced Bylsma. "We'll be dealing with it internally but he will not be playing in Ottawa. I'm disappointed."

Complete idiot, totally selfish and massively over rated and over paid.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Flames roster, not even for free.

I wonder if he's "ok" with the amount of money he's made thus far, and is just riding out his deal without any real concern if he gets another one or not.

Maybe he's lost his motivation to win now that he's got paid.

The Sabres better ask the NHL not to schedule the Sabres to play in Carolina on Feb. 19 of next year. The NBA allstar game is in Charlotte, NC which is a short flight from Raleigh.

Sigh, what a bozo. He's been hot too. Frustrating.

At least that contract comes off the books when Eichel and Reinhart need new ones.

Too bad Petrovic didn't knock this dude out and embarrass him. He deserves to be humiliated.
