Flames Flames Dad's Trip Underway

Kinda cool that TJ is bringing his Grandpa!

Quote:

Has Johnny excused himself from the trip?

^ Johnny's dad would likely be disappointed in him for getting benched yesterday. He's been grooming the kid since he was a toddler.

Johnny, in his article for the Player's Tribune, said his dad called Mrs. Gaudreau at work once, saying "I just don’t think he has it. He's not going make it as a hockey player. I don't think he has it in him."

Johnny's mom replied, "Guy, he's only three years old. Give it some time."

Johnny was saying in his scrum today that their Dad's were in town last night for the Leafs game, and so he was disappointed he was not able to play. Another reason why I think you see him and Mony kick into a new gear at the San Jose game.

Maybe a little smack from each of those dads would do the boys good haha.

And I'm not just talking about Johnny, Mony and Bouma.

Guy looks like he's lecturing Johnny in that picture.

@Kristen_Odland And they call Guy Gaudreu the "God Father." Hilarious.

@Kristen_Odland I lied. The "God Father" is Mr. Giordano. Mr. Gaudreau is "Super Mario" because of the moustache. Classic.
Lol that's awesome

Not necessarily. My nephew is 6'3" even though my sister is 5'6" and my brother-in-law is 5'9".

Plus, all the players are on skates and the dads aren't.

How tall was the mailman?

I did take into account skates. But look at Gio's dad.

Guy Gaudreau should be the Flames official mascot.

Funny how all the dads are wearing retro jerseys because they're old.

Interesting that the dads are all sporting a jersey that the Flames don't even have in their rotation anymore. You'd have to think that the team supplied them with the jerseys. Trying to clear the shelves?
