This is a regional game on SN West only. The rest of Canada can only see this game on Centre Ice. I know Edmonton is no good, but I don't why Rogers shoots itself in the foot by having a regional game on a national game day. I wonder how many 80s references Gene Principe will make in this game. http://scores.nbcsports.com/nhl/prev...&home=12&vis=6

Watching this Caps Flyers game -- Emrick just referred to both goalies as "pipe polishers".

Then Pierre Maguire did too.

Pipe Polishers.

First time I've watched a home broadcast for the NYI. Wow, that arena is terrible.

Isles up 3-0 on the Oilers 11 minutes in. Talbot already gets the hook.

Didn't take long for the Oilers to crash back down to earth. What a horrible hockey team.

The question I have is, can the Oilers make the play offs?

Hey now, Seravelli said they had to go 21-5-4. If they lose today, they can still go 21-3-4 and get in.

It's cute, because he actually thinks they are capable of playing better.

...or sad. Maybe it's just sad.

Now that the oil are playing some contenders, they are out of track for a playoff push

Just wait until McDavid gets back. They'll be unstoppable

I wasn't watching all that intently, but I didn't even hear McDavid's name in the first.

The reason that oil goalie let in goals was the lighting or the boards in the rink? Whaaaat? Ugh, such a clown analyst. A clownalyst!

I'm really working hard to remind myself that I want the Oilers to win so they don't get another top pick.

It's the toughest mental challenge of my life.

What was that a few days ago at RSN about the Oilers getting their swagger back?

Weird to say this, but that was kind of a cool little thing from Gene Principe about how the team bus has to get on an elevator and is dropped down into the bowels of the Barclay's Center where the players get off.

Then it drives in, parks on a turntable, the players get out and the turntable thing turns around. Very James Bond-y. But really just looks like a concrete basement.
