So we're going to bolt from Iraq. Where are the cries of complaint?

If so, will you now admit that the rhetoric about an elemental war between good and evil was overblown, that to win this battle you were not, in fact, prepared to pay any price, and that all you really meant was that here was a mess that could be cleaned up relatively easily, cheaply and fast if we were prepared to crack the whip and cut a corner or two in the presentation of evidence and in international law?

If so, fine. You just miscalculated. Kindly admit it and apologise, and the rest of us, I’m sure, will be prepared to move on. We all make mistakes.

I understand this would be a slap in the face of the people that have the view of Neoconservatism, Unilateralism, and Warmongers but what does this have to do with Christianity?

So let me get this straight. A columnist with the Times of London, who is well known to be a left-winger, a pacifist, and a particular opponent of the war in Iraq, claims (with no evidence given) that the UK is about to pull its troops out, and that the US is bound to follow. Also that his stupid, stupid, stupid opponents won't admit it was all a ghastly mistake and doomed to failure from the start.

News for you: People like Mr. Parris were proclaiming defeat before the war even started, and have never stopped for a moment since. This is nothing new or newsworthy; just one of the chattering classes filling up his column inches.

Maybe the neocons will feel slapped in the face if something like this actually happens. But an op-ed piece in the Times won't cut it.

Thanks Random.....

My thoughts exactly.

Maybe I need to wear a brighter Unilateralist, Neo-con, Christian, Warmongerer shirt
