Emery to fill in for Sparks while he is up? Either Reimer is out longer than they thought or they're real close to moving off Bernier.
Without Reimer injured and not having Emery they'd have:
TOR:
Reimer
Bernier
TORM:
Sparks
Bibeau
Unless they think Bibeau isn't cutting it even as an AHL back up. he does have a winning record with some soft numbers though, but not terrible for a 21 year old prospect.
I'm thinking they want Sparks up full time backing up Reimer and Bernier is as good as gone.

If they'd signed Emery to a contract, I'd agree. But there's no time commitment on a PTO. For all we know, they could dress him as backup for one game and then release him. Eric Hartzell's PTO with Stockton lasted only one day.
