Good to see you giving Frolic recognition. I thought he played great as well.

Your line up doesn't jive with the boxscore as Granlund isn't listed but Jooris is. To tell the truth I can't remember which one played.

Possibly losing Brodie for a bit is terrible (to bad it wasn't one of three others) but whenever a player is injured I can't help but look at the option of giving another player a chance and become a little excited. It doesn't make sense but I want to see Nakladal.

Silly call by the NHL and Colin Campbell and one that may hurt them if a star player in the playoffs runs into a linesman in a similar fashion.
I havent said anything regarding Wideman hit/suspension in the thread so I'll make a quick comment in here. Above point is exactly why I think NHL got it right. If you don't make an example out of Wideman, you will potentially have players accidentally running into officials if they don't get their way. You just cannot allow that to happen. Good call.

I couldn't agree more.

The NHL got it wrong.

I would give the big save to the reviewed NO GOAL that Ramo saved just for the timing of it. They rule that a goal and it's a 3-2 close game instead of a confident 4-1.

-edit- forgot to say great right up. I like labelling the 20 games cowardly if it was done to appease optics (rather than believing it very deliberate)

Well after this horror incident was shown on CNN and other mass media who have no connection to or understanding of hockey and probably hate it, the NHL caved again.

You see a greater risk that players will start assaulting linesman for off side calls by making it look accidental versus a star player in a huge game running over an official and then the league having to look at the Wideman precedent and suspend him?

I don't see a rash of head hunting officials on the horizon, but I do see accidents coming that will make the Wideman thing a real pain in the ass for the league.

Glad to see your recognition for Giordano as I do agree he has looked very good lately. If Hamilton can take a big step up then that would be a great top 3. Get Hamilton just a steady partner, nothing flashy and then I don't care who our bottom pairing is as I would expect big minutes from the top 4. But Hamilton not quite there yet.
