Pylon is great, I went to him when I bought my jeep and he made all the arrangements.
I might have to go to him again soon as I've finished paying for the Jeep and it might be time to start thinking about something new.

Sopure is now our new car sales manager, and I am the finance manager. Between the two of us, I'm pretty sure we can handle your request. Shoot me a PM and we can hook you up.

Hey, question for you Pylon. Have you noticed a drop in sales since the emisions testing scandal?
And for giggles, did you 'oh ****!' the tv when the news came out? I actually worked as a salesmam for Ford when the Firestone/Explorer roll over problems were happening. I know how fun that is.

At first, yes, I was pretty nervous, especially with the economy going into the toilet at the same time. To be honest though, we basically wrote off 1 week of business, and then once the angry customers subsided, we had more people angry they couldn't buy a TDI until the software patch is announced. There are very few people that buy them with altruistic reasons. Most just want the fuel economy, and couldn't give a flying F about emissions. And that is what we are dealing with now, a backlog of people wanting to take the 70ish TDI's we have in storage waiting for the fix.
This has been an absolutely bizarre last few months though. Everyone would think we would be bleeding because of the economy, as a lot of car dealerships are. We had an excellent November, our best December in close to a decade, and we are going to have our best all time January by a wide margin. It's kinda perplexing. I have colleagues at some domestic stores that are struggling huge. Anyone that is heavy in trucks right now. Is not in a good spot.
That being said, we have never been a huge diesel store. We sell piles of GTI's, Tiguans, and Golfs here. However, the smaller rural dealers that are 50% diesel, they are having a tough go right now.
I have my theories on why we are not regressing in this particular store. I think a huge part of it, is being under the Autocanada banner now. The wealth of knowledge, tools and support we have now, is unbelievable.

Any intel on the upcoming Alltrack? True that we will see a 4000lb/250 tongue tow rating?

Yeah my '14 Passat is the only car I've ever had that I love more every time I drive it. Such good value in VW now. Never would have thought I'd see the day where a Passat is less expensive than a Sonata (which drives like absolute crap).
Still not sure if I'm going to tune the Passat or not. It's hard to imagine walking into Concept1, giving them ~$600, and walking out 15 minutes later with an extra hundred horsepower. I'll be super distraught if something fatas up, which is the only thing stopping me.

I'd love to get into a new truck and was thinking about it until oil tanked. Hoping some smoking deals come out on new ones as it sounds like the used market is going to hurt. Even if they come out with great incentives it will be tough for me to justify a purchase and difficult to swing given the economy right now. On the other hand I'm worried prices will go way up next year due to the dollar dropping so much. I'm kind of screwed regardless I guess.
