I might take a flyer on Gagner.

He does shoot right, you could throw him on RW and his contract is up at the end of the year. He's not very good, but he does have some offensive skill. Would be a better option than Mason Raymond.

Gagner could play on RW. He is only 26 and contract expires at the end of the year. Bennet and Gagner could work out on the second line?

Never broken the 20 goal or 50 point mark.

Will do so on the Monny, Johnny line.

He's pretty much Hudler minus the grit to fight for positioning and otherwise "grimy" goals.

Wasn't Gomez once considered to be on the best line in the NHL??...with Elias and someone else, I believe ...it was a long time ago, perhaps I'm remembering it incorrectly

The only way I'd pick up Gagner is if somehow Treliving was able to sucker the Flyers into taking Raymond straight up. Heck, I'd even consider throwing in a 5th rounder to sweeten the deal. I don't really see Flyers doing that though.

Sam Gagner looked legit, the Oilers completely ruined him.

Gomez, Elias, and Gionta were unstoppable once Elias came back from hepatitis. I think that was the year after the lockout when Kipper won the Vezina.

41 points last season with the abysmal Yotes.

I dunno. He's got more offensive potential than a few guys in our top 9

The year Brian Gionta scored 48 goals. Yes, that happened.

if we could trade Raymond for him, then i'd take Gagner.

Raymond has an extra year on his contract, but Gagner is paid $5,000,000 this season even though his cap hit is only $3.2. Maybe Philly wants out of that money?

Could work, very possible he could find a bit of spark with Johnny and Monahan. Can always move Hudler to the second line if he is not getting it done on the first line.

Lol, I had no idea Gagner was paid that much. I thought he was making $1-$1.5M tops.
