Wow. Incredible generosity by PK Subban. After reading the horrible news of the little girl murdered recently, I felt this needed to be mentioned to show some good still exists in this world.

I am blown away. Yeah he makes a lot of money but this is simply amazing. Montreal is fortunate to have someone like that living in their community.

What a wonderful person to recognize his blessings and to give back what is just a staggering amount. Canadiens fans should be very proud to have him on their team.

A few years ago I couldn't stand PK, he came across as cocky and immature. What a classy move. I like watching those videos of him playing street hockey with local kids too.

This guy is awesome. I love what he's doing for hockey and for his community, one way or another people are going to know about him and that's good for hockey as a whole. I've always liked this kid and I think he's a future captain of the habs and should be a lock on team Canada.

Gio is still better.

He really seems like a genuine caring individual. I may not like all his on ice antics, but off the ice he is a pretty remarkable guy.

Kudos PK Subban.

With so many more NHLers set to make $10M a year, I really hope more and more players do similar philanthropic things like what PK just did.

That is fantastic! PK is obviously paid very well, but this is still a huge commitment.

This is a HUGE chunk of change, even for a pro athlete of his stature.

Matt Damon would be impressed

Wow, that is an unbelievable. Good for him.

Should also note that he will assist the hospital in raising money for the next 7 years as well

That's a large sum of money even for a NHL player since most of the money he earns is lost in tax/agent salary etc

Incredible - what a wonderful person. He's basically donating 1/7th of his current contract which is unbelievable.

It is a tax deduction but your point is still valid. It's a huge chunk of his income!

What a jerk! He totally did that just to one-up Saku Koivu.

Not classy PK. Not classy at all...
