Default Nando's Chicken?

Any one try the Nando's Chicken on 32nd? The hype for it seems pretty good and was wondering if it is worth it

Default Swiss Chalet but better

Same idea as Swiss Chalet but better. More spice in the chicken there.

Flavor is awesome, chicken has been pretty dry every time I've gone.

Just cut out the middleman and buy the hot sauce yourself from Safeway.

I love Nando's. We often do take-out from there, even though It is on the other end of town. Would love it if they opened up a location near Crowfoot. And if you go, try the peri-fries as well...I am hungry now thinking about Nando's

I have been a couple of times with my wife, and we've enjoyed it. Lots of flavour and options. Don't expect much (or any!) service - it is one of those semi-fast food places. You order at a counter, get your own drinks/utensils/sauces, etc., but then sit in and eat. it is definitely tasty though.

Haven't had it in years, but I enjoyed it when it first opened.

Not worth the hype. Dry meat, meh flavors and very little variety. Ours closed up shop about a month ago and I don't miss it

I was disappointed eating there after all the hype. Love their sauces though, so I would second nik's suggestion.

Default Cheaper at the restaurant

Buy the sauce at the restaurant front desk. Twice the size bottle at half the price of the grocery stores then cook at home. Use the sauce with other meats as well. We do that as well as others I have seen while picking up there. Helps I work around the corner from there so it is handy for me too.

It's all hype. Not worth it all.

A much better place in the NE is Pio's Peruvian Chicken.

I work within walking distance to the place, its big over in the EU but I find its all hype here.
I've been a few times and there's never really been anything special about it, I guess as others have mentioned the sauce is what makes it and you can buy that now in grocery outlets. Cook the chicken yourself and use the sauce, most of the time you get it there its dry/charred a bit too much for my liking.

TLDR; Its Meh

Pio's is pretty good, but it's not really the same thing at all other than it being chicken. If I had to choose where to eat between the two, it's Pio's for sure though.

Love Nando's - sweet potatoes and coleslaw are great there, along with chicken. I do find it is a bit expensive and portions are a bit small though.

I love Nando's, is it open again? It closed down for a while for some renovations or something. I could totally go for some right now. Mix the garlic and the hot sauce together...oh yeah.

Summertime when Nando's has grilled corn on the cob as a side dish.

It's surprisingly close to the nando's in the UK.

Yeah, it's been re-opened for quite a long time.

Nandos is some pretty good chicken and damn their extra hot peri peri sauce is good. One of my favourite hot sauces to put on home made chicken wings.

Also, they rate highly as a company in regards to customer service. After once having a bad experience I sent a complaint message and within an hour was contacted. They apologised and asked for my address to send a coupon for a half chicken meal.

I love Nandos - before they came to Calgary, I would buy a couple of whole chickens from a Vancouver location, freeze them and bring them back. I just wish it wasn't on the other side of the city from me.
