Default What is open at Christmas?
I know gas stations, and some Tim Horton's are open. How about restaurants, movie theaters, etc? Sorry Im bored outta me head.

Movie theatres are open. Some Chinese restaurants are open, I'd call first. McDonald's in Crowfoot was open when we drove past to my brother's place.

No, they're two different places. Hooker Mac's is the one on 4th Ave and 5th St. Crack Mac's is the one on 7th Ave and 8th St.

The macs on 4th has a name? I work right there and never see any "hookers" there

I guess it's out of date now, but back in the 80s/90s, 3rd Ave was the main hooker stroll in Calgary. They would go to that Mac's store to warm up.

I think after Eau Claire Market opened up, they wanted to make the area more respectable, so the cops started cracking down on it in that area, and the hookers moved somewhere else.

When I took my driver training, 3rd Ave used to have 4-way stops at every intersection, so the driving schools would take you down there to get practice with downtown driving and 4-way stops. As I was waiting to make a turn at one of the intersections, a hooker came over and asked my instructor if he was looking for a party.

Sometimes we used to all get in a friend's car and drive down the stroll, pull over and wait until we were approached. Then we'd peel off. Apparently the pimps don't like this.

They also didn't like it when my drunk buddy offered one of the girls a Subway sandwich from the Mac's as trade instead of cash.
