Not particularly shocking but still sad, battled drug issues for almost his entire career. Keith Richards outlives yet another.

I saw an interview he did with Howard Stern and he seemed so drained. His bandmates would expect him to party every night, sing perfect at every show and keep himself clean. He had to spend $90k every month on ex-wives and kids and could never stop working. He would be treated like a despicable junkie no matter what he did. The people in his life completely tore him to shreds.

Sad news. Such a great talent as I've always been a big fan of his. Hopefully he's finally in peace.

I have to be honest, I didn't know he was still alive, until he died.

RIP

I actually thought he had already passed, so it was more of a shock to find out he was still around.

I was a huge STP fan. Glad I got to see him once.

Damn that really sucks, such a great talent. The drugs man, the drugs..

I had a chance to see him last time he came through and I passed it up for 'next time', a few years ago we had box seats for STP's tour I was pumped following the song list from other venues they were playing all the hits.. then days before they cancelled the show. I never figured out if it was cause of drugs or sick or didn't sell enough tickets or what. To many missed opportunities, sad story for me right? I don't mean it that way, just mean it really sucks.

He had a really bad falling out with STP, if I'm not mistaken? Could never get over his addition issues. RIP.

Big Bang Baby was one of the best videos produced in the 90's, and a staple memory in my teenage years.

I was listening to the 90's channel on satellite radio while travelling over summer holidays and heard a bunch of old STP and it was a reminder of what a fantastic band they were. Even in the late 90's they were putting out great stuff like Sour Girl.
