Well, that sucks. But if he is out for a while and has to go onto the IR, lets just hope we have a hard nosed players coming back in soon....oh wait, Bouma is almost ready. Happy days.

Be a huge loss if he's out long term. Very reliable, solid player.

The silver lining is that Granlund has looked great in his recall so far and Bouma is nearly back.

Frolik has been as advertised or better. Not a hole easily filled by Bouma or anyone else. I think Ferland has the tools but not the seasoning. Time to step up.

Ya know, Micheal Ferland and him could be the best.. Or the worst thing for each other. Ferly would definitely help Kassian off the ice.

I would have never said that it would be a good idea to claim Kassian before tonight's game, but the Flames now only have Hudler and Jones as natural RW's. They could shoe horn someone else in, but it would not be the ideal. If Frolik is out for a while, which is looking likely, having someone that could fill in at least in a 4th line role wouldn't hurt. I think you could get by with Colborne as the 3rd line RW for the time being.
They could get by with say Jooris drawing in if it's only a couple weeks, but if it's a month plus injury, getting a replacement would be a good idea.
