				 Dec 18 Practice

Derek Wills @Fan960Wills#Flames struggling to score on Karri Ramo at practice. With the way he's playing, the puck probably looks like a Lincoln Town Car right now.

Bouma and Bollig remain the odd men out with Maroon jerseys.

Looks like the Flames will not make any line up changes for tomorrow's game.

 St. Louis Blues @StLouisBlues
Elliott will start tomorrow at 2 p.m. vs. Calgary. Hitchcock said Brodziak is "sore," so Gomez will take his spot in the lineup. #stlblues

Seriously he really reminds me of kipper with those pads. Goalies are so weird part of me wonders if that is in fact a factor in his recent play.

So the simple trick all along was look like kipper = play like kipper.

While we're on the topic of minor goaltending details making a big difference...
I'm a bit glad Brian Elliott is playing. His career record vs. Calgary is 7-3, whereas Allen is a perfect 2-0. Last time the Flames faced Elliott, he let in 3 goals on 18 shots. Also, Elliott has been nowhere near as good this year as Allen.

I want to see a Smid-Nakladal bottom pair.

I think if Wideman gets traded, Nakladal can step in. He likely won't be putting Wideman points, but he will certainly be a serviceable guy on the bottom pair. He's not that old either at 26. He's still got some years left in him.

Phew, good news about Frolik at least. I was expecting a Bennett esq "done for the season" diagnosis for sure.

Unless I'm blind this is the first mention of Frolik in this thread. What do you know?!

Ok this tweet just came up.Calgary Flames @NHLFlames6m6 minutes ago
"He's going to be long-term. A few weeks." - Bob Hartley on Michael Frolik's status. He added Frolik will not require surgery.
