John Shorthouse is "surprised" to see Philadelphia try to get their starting goaltender going against the Canucks? Seems ideal to me. It's not like they score much.

5-on-3 now as Giroux just splits the 2 F and then the 2 D before getting tripped.

Sparks started tonight for Toronto. But he got injured with an upper body injury and now Bernier is the only fit goalie they have. So I think if any trade was imminent(which I doubt it was), that might be delayed until they find out how serious Sparks and Reimer's injuries are.

Kane has scored early in the second period, 1-0 Sabres.
The Sharks have a 2-1 lead after one period. Both of their goals were on the power play. Holland has the Leafs on the board.
The Kings and Habs are scoreless after one period.

Oilers down 1-0.
Anaheim down 2-0.
Arizona down 2-0.

H. Sedin left the game early in the second period, and has not returned.

It does look good, the only blemish has the Kings leading the Habs 2-0 after two periods. The Sabres are up 3-0 and the BJs lead is now 2-1.

The Flyers continue to play hang on with the 1-0 lead with about six minutes left in the third period. The lone goal had to be checked by replay and time had to be put back on as it looked like the puck hit the cross bar. Then in the second period, the referee called a Flyers goal but the replay showed the puck hit the cross bar and was called back.
The Flyers score, 2-0.
