Thoughts on Sportsnt Flames Regional Host Leah Hextall??
So Leah Hextall has been the Flames Sportsnet regional host for 2 seasons now.
Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on her. Interview style, interaction with the panel, hockey knowledge, Flames passion and dare I say, looks?
My personal opinion is she's a well thought out host who knows the game quite well. I believe she coined the phrase last season "come back kids & heart attack / cardiac kids" it was used frequently throughout the year last year. She never tries to "out do" the panel members and her interview questions are for the most part fair, balanced and insightful. Her hockey knowledge is decent given her family history background. I also find her attractive with good style.
Who are some of the other hosts that the other Canadian teams have? I know David Amber does hosting for the Edmonton Oilers. I don't have others Sportsnet channels so I don't know who does the Canucks games? I believe the Jets are a TSN property as are the Leafs. I am not sure who has the rights or the other Canadian teams.
Thanks
P.S Does anyone else have issues when they go to post a message or a new thread where the site doesn't actually post the message? Sometimes if I take a few minute to type a message I will go post and I will get logged out and my message wont get posted. I sometimes find I have to copy the message prior to posting and then if I run into the issue I paste and then post right away. Just something I have come across probably a dozen times or so. Thanks

Knowledgeable about hockey, charismatic on a panel and good looking. Not a whole lot of that out there.

She's knowledgeable, and does her job like a pro. Don Cherry could learn something from her.

She's knowledgable and does allow others their time to speak, which is refreshing.
But I still can't shake that it sounds like she's always nagging me
Something about her voice always makes me feel like I have laundry I should be doing.

Before posting, think about whether you would ever say the same thing about a male host.

I'd be worried about giving Hextall a goalie stick. That's about it.

Her voice initially grated me, but I've gotten used to it and like her in all other aspects. She's usually better than her neighboring talking heads.

I like her as well. Ditto what others have said about her(minus shogun's comment).

She used to always wear red during Flames games last year and some of this year. I think she is trying to change it up now that we aren't doing very well.

I think she's great.
Enthusiastic, seems personable, and most importantly for a broadcaster, she's on the ball and prepared for her segments.
I like her more than George.

Well then the answer would be yes, I mean Gene Principe looks like the Sporting version of Nardwaur the Human Serviette. That comment was just plain ol' stupid though and doesn't make sense.
She's decent though, I don't mind her, and for Sportsnet that's a big win.

She's good.
But she didn't coin the phrases "comeback kids," "cardiac kids," etc.
Unless, of course, she is 100+ years old.
