Is he wearing green again? Does green mean no contact or extra?

Ton of special teams work this morning. More than 30 minutes in, that's all they've worked on. #Flames

THe problem with the power play IMO is a lack of puck possession. Want to see them throw out something like:

Backlund-Gaudreau-Bennett-Giordano-Hamilton
Hudler-Monahan-Ferland-Brodie-Jooris

but of course we'll be back to Johnny/Mony/Huds and Raymond/Colborne/Jones. Have fun taking one-timers from 170 feet out.

Who is our best player at puck pursuit and causing turnovers in the offensive zone? That's the guy that needs to play with Johnny and Monny on the first unit. Jooris? Backlund? Granlund actually comes to mind. Colborne? He could dig pucks out and then park in front of the net.

Sharks getting Couture back

Kevin Kurz @KKurzCSN
Couture in a teal practice sweater today with Marleau and Ward. Pretty strong indication he could play tomorrow. We’ll see after skate

Havent had a chance to watch much hockey lately. How's the Bennet Hudler Granlund line?

Will be good to get Bouma back, hopefully before Christmas. We need the size, heart and grit back in the line-up.

Bennett and Granlund have shown instant chemistry. They have been effective at crashing the net and getting great opportunities in close.

I wonder why Bennett hasn't been playing C, nor will he for the foreseeable future. I thought they wanted to develop him as a C right off the bat.

How does worse PP get better against worse PK? or vice versa?

When they face each other in practice, who wins?

If you mean while the Flames have zone presense and the other team doesn't have firm puck control... Frolik. When the other team has firm control of the puck and is trying to develop the play it's Backlund.

ITT we name guys who fill the most-needed PP role, who aren't on the 30th ranked power play.
